2014 Social Justice Fellows
40 sophomores and juniors from schools across MPS were selected to participate in a pilot seminar, Race, Law and Public Policy: Then and Now, which included:

Seminars taught by college professors, community leaders and MPS staff

A civil rights research tour of significant historical sites in the south

Visits to colleges and universities in Alabama and Georgia
Inaugural SJF Recognition Ceremony
On June 2, 2014, the Social Justice Fellows (SJF) were recognized at a ceremony at the University of Minnesota's Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

The Social Justice Fellows have had the opportunity to share their civil rights tour experience on the local radio stations and in the local print media.
Class
As part of the Social Justice Fellows' Program, students attend classes at the Humphrey School, where they learn from University professors and community leaders.
